Sutra se otvara 4. Međunarodni festival fotografije Organ Vida
Ng Swan Ti i Severin Koller gosti festivala
Dokumentarnom izložbom u Galeriji Karas sutra, 15. lipnja, u 20 sati otvorit će se jedini međunarodni festival fotografije u Hrvatskoj.
Na izložbi će se predstaviti finalisti javnog natječaja na koji se prijavilo 280 amaterskih i profesionalnih fotografa iz 52 zemlje, no samo ih je jedanaest, prema odluci međunarodnog žirija, ušlo u finale.
Finalisti 4. Međunarodnog festivala fotografije Organ Vida su Geir Moseid (Norveška), Stephen Kelly (Engleska), Sanja Knežević (Srbija), Christian Stejshal (Norveška), Marco Lachi (Italija), Mateusz Sarello (Poljska), Akshay Mahajan (Indija), Kirill Golovhenko (Njemačka), Alesandro Vecchi (Italija), Tommaso Protti (Italija) i Jean-Francois Hamelin (Kanada).
Tri sata prije službenog otvorenja festivala, u kinu Europa, fotograf Siniša Glogoški održat će putopisno predavanje o ekspedicijama u Gvajanu, Siriju i Rusiju.
Gosti 4. Međunarodnog festivala fotografije Organ Vida bit će i beogradski kolektiv uličnih fotografa "Belgrade Raw", koji će u 18:30 sati u kinu Europa održati predavanje o motivima za udruživanje, mogućnostima i izazovima zajedničkog nastupa za fotografe te o aktualnim kretanjima fotografske scene u Srbiji.
Nakon predavanja i izložbe goste festivala zabavljat će bend Dunk Riot (K. Levačić, I. Roban-Križić, M. Huljev) i dj hrwoE.
Drugi dan festivala otvorit će se panelom "Pozicija dokumentarne fotografije u Hrvatskoj", u kojem će sudjelovati Siniša Hančić, Darije Petković, Sandra Vitaljić i Boris Cvjetanović. Moderator panela bit će Barbara Šarić.
Dokumentarna fotografkinja Ng Swan Ti prezentirat će iskustva o radu u lokalnoj zajednici na Jakarti s mladim ljudima i studentima koji kroz interakcije, radionice i diskusije uče o umjetnosti. Predavanje će započeti u 18 sati u kinu Europa. Nakon Ng Swan Ti predavanje o uličnoj fotografiji održat će Severin Koller.
Proglašenje pobjednika i dodjela nagrada za najbolje dokumentarne fotografske projekte i najbolju seriju fotografija s akcije Flashmob održat će se u kinu Europa u 20:30 sati, a nakon čega slijedi Radio 808 dj's party.
Nedjelja, treći dan festivala, rezervirana je za Open Show i prezentacije autorskih fotografskih projekata.

ABOUT FESTIVAL
'Organ Vida' is an international photography festival held annually in Zagreb. The festival is currently in its 5th year of running.
The objective of this festival is to promote the contemporary Croatian and foreign trends in photography, to strengthen the photography scene in Croatia, and to present quality works to a wide audience. Through its continuous development, this festival aims to become the leading international photography festival (especially open to the young photographers) in the region.
The festival programme comprises of various types of events - lectures, creative workshops, presentations of different photographers and their projects, exhibitions, and music gigs.
Each edition of the festival is centered around a specific theme within the field of documentary photography. The works for the exhibition need to be submitted via our online application form. This year, the jury will select 10 of the best documentary projects to be displayed at a large group exhibition during the festival. After the closing, the exhibition will tour several cities in Croatia and abroad.
Along with the exhibition and workshops, what we offer at our festival is also the opportunity to have fun, meet new creative friends (photographers as well as other artists), exchange advice and experiences, and expand your professional network. It is our belief that these types of live events significantly contribute to the development and strengthening of the photographic scene, because the photographers are given a chance to show their work to a wide audience, explain and discuss them, and receive comments and feedback right away.
